PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Specific Program Goals: The program goal for the Buckle-Up Kids is to increase the communities awareness that seat belts can save lives and can prevent serious injuries. The group is particularly concerned about the lack of seat belt usage in the urban community. A national survey conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration showed that seat belt use among African Americans is more than 10% lower than the national average.
